MANE: BAYERN REACH AGREEMEMT WITH LIVERPOOL

German side Bayern Munich are edging closer to getting their main transfer target this summer after they reached an agreement with reigning Champions League finalists Liverpool for Sadio Mane. The Senegalese international is the main transfer target for the Bavarian giants this summer.

Respected English journalist David Ornstein confirmed the agreement between Bayern Munich and Liverpool for Mane on Friday. According to him, Bayern will pay a transfer fee of €32m plus €9m in add-ons to take the total transfer fee to €41m. He revealed that €6m out of the €9m add-on fee is achievable, while the remaining €3m is difficult to achieve. It was also stated that Mane will have his medical at Bayern Munich next week having already agreed a three-year deal with the Germans until the end of the 2024/25 season. The aforementioned Ornstein works for English publication The Athletic and he’s not the only reputable journalist to confirm the Bayern agreement for Mane. Others such as Fabrizio Romano and NicoloSchira have also confirmed the agreement reached between Liverpool and Bayern Munich for Mane.

Senegalese international Mane has been at Liverpool since he signed for the Merseyside club from fellow Premier League team Southampton in the summer of 2016. He has spent six years at Liverpool since joining from the Saints. Mane has a year left on his current Liverpool deal, but he wants to leave the club for a new challenge.

During his time at Liverpool, Mane has won every competition possible including the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup. He won two trophies with Liverpool during the latest season which ended last month.

Liverpool have moved to sign a replacement for the outgoing Mane with Uruguayan star Darwin Nunez. The Reds signed the young attacker in a deal that could reach the €100m mark.
